FII CEO: We are entering a new era where innovation and capital converge to create a sustainable future

Richard Attias, CEO of the Future Investment Initiative Foundation, said during the second day of the Future Investment Initiative that in the 8th edition of the initiative, we are witnessing a new era where innovation and capital converge to create a sustainable and inclusive future for all.

Among the highlights of the initiative on the second day was the announcement of the Ocean Central platform, launched by Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to the United States. This digital platform is a new tool that aims to collect data related to the health of the oceans and provide a comprehensive and advanced picture of them, which contributes to saving the oceans.

Eric Schmidt, CEO and former Chairman of Google, spoke about the geopolitical impact of artificial intelligence, pointing out how cybersecurity and digital infrastructure are reshaping international relations, stressing the importance of cooperation in the field of data governance and digital trade to confront the growing challenges in the technological world.

The initiative witnessed the announcement of 11 new financial initiatives aimed at investing in impactful solutions that serve humanity. Six strategic partnerships were also established, confirming the commitment to drive positive change in various sectors including technology, quality of life, innovation, and sustainability. The Future Investment Initiative, under the slogan “Infinite Horizons… Investing Today to Shape Tomorrow,” continues its work during the third and final day, with an international presence. The initiative is a link between investors and decision-makers, and witnesses 180 dialogue sessions, with the participation of 600 speakers from political and business leaders and innovators, and focuses on and addresses issues including finance, artificial intelligence, sustainability, energy, and geoeconomics.
