European Council President stresses the importance of a comprehensive and stronger partnership between EU and GCC

Charles Michel, President of the European Council, stressed the importance of proposing a comprehensive and stronger partnership between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council in order to achieve the prosperity of peoples, calling on the member states of the summit to work to make this summit the first to inspire unity and hope.

The President of the European Council stressed in his speech the European side’s readiness to work with the Gulf side to address international problems, especially in the Middle East, due to the turmoil and serious challenges it is going through.

Michel explained in his speech during the launch of the first summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union in Brussels today, Wednesday. That these crises have revealed enormous human suffering that requires decisive action, noting that the future of the two regions is greatly interconnected.
