Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co. announced on Monday that it has secured the necessary license from official authorities to proceed with its industrial complex in the Busaita area. The complex will include factories for olive oil, pickles, and French fries production. The project is set to begin on October 15, 2024, with operations expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025.

This follows the company’s previous announcement on September 4, 2023, regarding the signing of a solar energy purchase agreement with the French energy company Engie for an 8 MW capacity at the Basita site. This renewable energy will complement existing power sources at the complex. Additionally, the company provided an update on September 7, 2024, confirming that the project would not proceed until all permits and licenses were secured. Al-Jouf is now pleased to update its shareholders on the project’s progress.
