Japanese stocks close higher
Japanese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, as investor sentiment was boosted by overnight gains on Wall Street and dovish comments from the Bank of Japan last week.
The Nikkei average rose 0.57% to 37,940.59, while the broader Topix index added 0.54% to end at 2,656.73.
