European stocks steady ahead of economic data
European stocks opened flat on Monday, amid investor caution ahead of a series of key economic data releases in the region this week.
The Stoxx 600 index was flat at 514.43 points.
Major regional indices were mixed, with the UK’s FTSE 100 up 0.1% and Germany’s DAX up 0.1%.
In contrast, France’s CAC 40 fell 0.5%.
The Eurozone PMI for September is due out today, as are Germany and Britain.
