Eli Lilly shares surged 9% yesterday, posting their biggest one-day gain in a year, adding $70 billion to its market value in a single day.
The gains came after the drugmaker raised its annual earnings forecast and its popular weight-loss drug Zepbound surpassed $1 billion in sales for the first time in a quarter.
Krispy Kreme shares jumped more than 13% in a session, rebounding from a record low despite the company swinging to a loss.
The doughnut maker reported a $5.5 million loss in the second quarter, compared with a $200,000 profit in the same period last year.
