The National Center for Palms and Dates revealed an increase in the value of the Kingdom’s date exports during the first half of the current year 2024 AD, to reach more than 751 million riyals, with an increase rate of 9.9%, compared to the same period of the previous year 2023 AD, in which the value of its exports amounted to more than 683 million riyals.

In this context, the Kingdom’s exports of dates included a number of countries that witnessed a significant increase and growth in the value of exports during the first half of 2024, as the increase rate in some countries exceeded 100%, including: (the Republic of Brazil, the Kingdom of Norway, Italy, and Canada). The Federal Republic of Germany also recorded an increase in the value of date exports by 91.5%, followed by the Republic of South Korea by 72%, and the Republic of Indonesia by 50.1%. In addition, the Kingdom of Sweden witnessed an increase of 43.7%, while the increase rate in the value of date exports to the Kingdom of Malaysia amounted to 32.6%, and the United Kingdom by 29.7%, while the value of exports to the Kingdom of Morocco increased by 25.3%, and the United States of America by 21.1%. The increase in the Kingdom’s exports of dates comes as a result of the unlimited support of the wise leadership – may God support it – for the palm and dates sector, in addition to the effective role of the National Center for Palms and Dates and its efforts to increase the competitiveness of Saudi dates on the global level. This achievement reflects the commitment of date exporters to providing high-quality products, which enhances the presence of Saudi dates globally and places the Kingdom among the leading countries in date exports.
