Russian gas company Gazprom said it will send 42.3 million cubic meters of gas to Europe via Ukraine today, compared with 42.4 million cubic meters yesterday.

In another context, Russia’s Gazprom signed an agreement in June with the National Iranian Gas Company to supply gas via a pipeline to Iran.

The agreement extends for 30 years and includes the export of surplus Russian gas not used domestically in Iran to other countries, worth between $10 billion and $12 billion annually, with Russia bearing the cost of building the necessary infrastructure.

The United States and the European Union have imposed a maximum selling price for Russian oil of $60 per barrel, meaning that Western shipping and insurance companies cannot participate in the Russian oil trade unless the oil is sold below the price limit.
