Riyadh, Washington eye stronger ties in urban development, real estate, and financing

Saudi Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail began an official visit to the United States, which will run until August 22. During the visit, Al-Hogail is set to meet with key U.S. government officials, leading construction and real estate firms, and financial institutions. The discussions will center on strengthening partnerships between Saudi Arabia and the U.S. in urban development, construction, building, financing, and real estate.

The visit will also include the signing of multiple agreements targeting various real estate sectors. Al-Hogail aims to attract top American firms to the Saudi market, with a focus on real estate development, financing, supply chains, modern construction technologies, and urban infrastructure. Additionally, he will evaluate successful U.S. urban development projects, exploring ways to adapt similar models in the Kingdom.

As part of his trip, Al-Hogail will inaugurate a housing exhibition at the Saudi Cultural Attaché’s headquarters in Virginia. The exhibition will provide Saudi citizens in the U.S. with information on housing and financing options available through the Sakani Program, part of the Kingdom’s integrated housing initiatives.
