Middle East Paper Co. (MEPCO) announced on Sunday that its Board of Directors has approved a SAR 345 million investment in the Tissue Paper Production Line 6 project (TM6) through its subsidiary, Juthor. Juthor specializes in the production of tissue paper and sanitary paper rolls (Jumbo rolls).
The project aims to increase production capacity at the Juthor factory in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) by 60,000 tons, raising the facility’s total capacity to 120,000 tons. This expansion is expected to cater to the growing demand in both local and international markets.
MEPCO indicated that the project will be financed through a combination of governmental financial institutions, bank loans, and proceeds from the recent investment by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) into the company. The commercial operation of the new production line is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a positive impact on the company’s financial results.
