Japanese stocks close higher
Japanese stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with technology shares leading gains after a weaker yen boosted market sentiment as traders returned from a public holiday.
The Nikkei average rose 3.37 percent to 36,232.51, while the broader Topix index added 2.8 percent to end at 2,553.55.
