First Cairo-Arar International Flight Inaugurated

Cluster 2 Airports Company announced the inauguration of the first international flight from Cairo International Airport to Arar International Airport on Saturday evening, marking a milestone supervised by Northern Borders Region Governor Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. The event was attended by senior officials from Cluster 2 Airports Company, Nile Air representatives, and several government agencies operating at the airport.

CEO of Cluster 2 Airports Company, Eng. Ali Masrahi, described the launch as a key achievement reflecting the company’s commitment to the transportation and logistics strategy, as well as the National Aviation Strategy aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. He emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance Saudi airport infrastructure and provide top-tier services to travelers. Eng. Masrahi highlighted that the flight underscores ongoing efforts to position Saudi airports as key hubs for regional air transportation.

Eng. Masrahi expressed gratitude to the Northern Borders Region Governor for his continuous support and oversight, praising his role in attracting more international flights to Arar International Airport and improving the passenger experience across all airports in the region.

The flight is expected to ease passenger movement between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, bolstering trade and cultural exchanges between the two countries. Cluster 2 Airports Company, which manages 22 domestic and international airports in Saudi Arabia, continues its efforts to expand the international flight network across the airports it operates.
