European shares rebounded on Tuesday, August 6, after hitting six-month lows in the previous session, tracking a recovery in Asian markets and supported in part by a string of corporate earnings reports.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was up 0.8% by 0717 GMT after posting its biggest three-day losing streak since June 2022 on Monday, closing below 500 points for a second day.
Japan’s Nikkei index rose 9% after markets saw their biggest one-day drop since 1987 in the previous session.
