China on Monday expressed its firm opposition to the US move to place some Chinese entities on the “entity list” of export restrictions.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said this came in response to a media inquiry about the US Department of Commerce’s recent placing of a number of Chinese entities on the “entity list of export restrictions under the so-called Russia-related excuses.”
The spokesperson stressed that this move is “a typical practice of unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction.” The move also undermines the international trade order and rules, hinders normal international economic and trade exchanges, and affects the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.
He stressed that the US side should immediately stop its wrong actions, warning that China will take all necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
