Umm Al-Qura Cement Joins Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program to Reduce Production Costs

Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. announced on Monday its enrollment in the Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program by signing an agreement that provides solutions to enhance the efficiency and quality of energy sources used in industrial facilities. The program is expected to contribute to reducing the company’s production costs. Consequently, the financial impact on production costs will be reduced to 9% instead of the previously announced 11%, as a result of signing the agreement.

The company further stated that it will continue to seek additional ways to raise production efficiency and reduce costs in the upcoming period. This announcement follows the company’s previous notification published on the Tadawul website on 28-01-2024, which clarified the financial impact of the modified fuel prices used in production.
