Saudi Stock market performance report during H1: Market value of issued shares hit 10.05 trillion riyals

The Saudi Stock Exchange performance report for the first half of 2024 revealed that the index closed at the level of 11,679.50 points, an increase of 220.52 points, or 1.92%, compared to the close of the first half of the previous year, as the highest closing point for the index during the period was on March 21 at the level of 12,835.65 points.

The market value of issued shares at the end of the first half of 2024 amounted to 10,055.72 billion riyals, recording a decrease of 7.81% compared to the same half of the previous year, while the total value of shares traded during the first half amounted to 1,023.37 billion riyals, equivalent to, an increase of 72.07% compared to the first half of the previous year.

The total number of shares traded reached 42.18 billion shares, compared to 53.42 billion shares traded during the first half of 2023, a decrease of 21.04%, while the total number of transactions executed during the first half of 2024 reached 64.15 million transactions, compared to 41.68 million transactions executed during the first half. 2023 AD, an increase of 53.91%.
