Saudi Local Tourists Spend SAR 114.4 billion in 2023

Saudi domestic tourism reached historic numbers in 2023, with 81.9 million tourists spending SAR 114.4 billion.

According to the local tourism indicators report, the number of tourists grew by 5% compared to 2022, while spending increased by 7%.

Saudi tourists accounted for 65.3 million visitors and spent SAR 95.9 billion, whereas non-Saudi tourists numbered 16.6 million and spent SAR 18.5 billion. The average length of stay for Saudi tourists was 6.7 nights, compared to 3.6 nights for non-Saudis.

Local tourist spending increased by 32.2% compared to 2019. Additionally, the number of commercial registrations in the tourism sector surged by 260% compared to 2015.
