Russian Central Bank raises interest rates by 200 basis points
The Russian Central Bank has decided to raise interest rates by 200 basis points to 18%.
The bank had decided to keep interest rates at 16% in June despite inflation rising beyond government plans and repeated warnings that increased military spending is weighing on the economy.
