Ministry of Commerce Issues Quarterly Business Sector Bulletin, with 78% Growth in Issued Commercial Registrations

The Ministry of Commerce released its quarterly bulletin covering the business sector, providing an overview of its performance and developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the Commerce Ministry, the total number of issued commercial registrations in the second quarter of this year increased by 78% compared to the same quarter of last year. During the past three months, 121,000 commercial registrations were issued, bringing the total number of commercial registrations to more than 1,518,000 in all regions of the Kingdom.
The “youth” category, both male and female, accounted for 38% of the total existing commercial registrations for establishments in the Kingdom.
The quarterly bulletin addressed the development in promising sectors in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and highlighted the growth of commercial registrations in sectors such as container handling services, logistics services, land passenger transport, arts and entertainment, cloud computing, electronic games, and others. This offers opportunities for local and foreign business sectors to develop businesses and expand partnerships.
The bulletin also shed light on e-commerce commercial registrations, which represent an important pillar of the national economy, as they grew by 17%, exceeding 40,000 registrations by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
