Japanese stock index closed higher supported by a weak yen
The Japanese stock index closed higher on Tuesday, supported by a weak yen and foreign fund inflows.
The Nikkei index rose by 1.12% to reach 40,074.69 points, and the broader Topix index ended the session up 1.15% at 2,846.62 points.
