Buffett’s investments in BYD up to $8 billion

Berkshire Hathaway, a subsidiary of the famous American billionaire Warren Buffett, made billions of dollars from its investment in BYD, and the late Vice Chairman Charlie Munger described the Chinese electric car manufacturer as a “miracle.”

The bet on BYD is one of Berkshire’s best bets, as its value has swelled to $8 billion as the electric vehicle market exploded and the company’s value soared.

It is worth noting that BYD Auto is a company that manufactures cars, engines, and trucks. It was founded in 1995 as part of a rechargeable battery maker of the same name, making it the sixth-largest Chinese automaker based on units sold. It is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong.
