ACWA Power Receives Commercial Operation Certificate for Komombo Solar PV Project

ACWA Power Company announced on Monday that it received a notice on June 30, 2024, from Komombo For Energy project company stating that the Project Commercial Operation Certificate has been granted by the Offtaker for the 200 MW Komombo Solar PV Project located in Komombo, Aswan region, Arab Republic of Egypt.

ACWA Power stated on Tadawul that it owns a 100% share in the Komombo for Energy project. The company explained that the project has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and a total investment cost of SAR 611 million.

The company expects the financial impact to be reflected from Q3 2024 onwards.
