Licensed export house 30Export and Almarai Company today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth SAR60 million that aims to increase the purchasing power of high-quality national products outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The MoU was signed by 30Export general manager Ali Al-Malki and Almarai chief executive Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Bader, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef and Saudi Export Authority (Saudi Exports) chief Eng. Abdulrahman bin Suleiman Al Thukair.
30Export, which undertakes the export process, is one of the export houses licensed by Saudi Exports. The authority works to empower local factories that wish to expand their operations and increase their export opportunities, enhancing the access of their products to global markets by linking them with licensed export house companies to benefit from their services.
Saudi Exports spokesman Thamer Al-Mishrafi praised the agreement, which contributes to empowering the brand of Saudi non-oil exports in global markets. He noted that Saudi Exports is keen to provide qualitative services and programs for exporters, including the export houses service that it launched last year, on the sidelines of the second annual Made in Saudi exhibition.
He elaborated that licensed export houses are companies with export experience that act as licensed commercial intermediaries by Saudi Exports after being qualified and meeting the licensing requirements. Such companies provide various services at the value chain level of exports until the local product reaches the end importers, aiming to help clients from local factories reach global markets in a way that facilitates export movement and enhances the access of national products and services to targeted international markets.
Saudi Exports is eager to explore available ways of support to enhance the access of national products and services to global markets, in a way that contributes to diversifying national income sources and raising the proportion of Saudi non-oil exports to at least 50% of total non-oil gross domestic product (GDP) by 2030.
