Microsoft postpones launching AI recovery feature

Microsoft announced yesterday, Thursday, that it had postponed the launch of its new “recovery” feature powered by artificial intelligence, after raising security concerns.

The recall feature takes quick pictures of the computer screen periodically, which are then encrypted and stored and can be analyzed by artificial intelligence to search for previous information.

The new “Copilot + PC” category of devices was scheduled to be released on June 18.
