Saudi Minister of Transport: Aviation sector needs investments worth $3 billion

Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, said that the aviation sector needs investments worth $3 billion, and that 80% of trade passes through airlines.

Al-Jasser added during the opening of the activities of the Future of Aviation 2024 conference today in the capital, Riyadh: The aviation exhibition is an opportunity to address global challenges, seize new opportunities, and enter into and develop new global policies, stressing the importance of the aviation sector in driving global growth and achieving well-being for societies, and Saudi Arabia has a full commitment to developing the aviation sector.

The Minister of Transport thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for sponsoring the Future of Aviation Conference and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his interest in the aviation sector.

The Future of Aviation Conference continues for 3 days, in the presence of more than 5,000 leaders and experts of the civil aviation industry in the world, from more than 120 countries and organizations, including more than 30 ministers and 65 leaders of civil aviation authorities from participating countries, heads of airlines and airports, and executive directors of companies. Aircraft manufacturing and a number of the largest investors in the world.
