PIF and BlackRock crowned world’s most valuable sovereign wealth fund and asset management brands

Public Investment Fund ranked first in a survey prepared by “Brand Finance” as the owner of the most valuable brand among sovereign wealth funds, with a value of $1.1 billion. The study provides an overview of the main trends of the asset management sector and sovereign wealth funds, and highlights how the additional economic value provided by the entity affects the value of its brand.

According to the study, the Public Investment Fund’s brand outperformed in terms of value in several sub-indices, including “brand awareness,” which measures the extent of the public’s knowledge of the brand, and “goal,” which measures knowledge of the foundations of investment and its time frame, taking environmental, social, and governance practices into account, in addition to “Commitment to positive, long-term growth.”

The Public Investment Fund’s brand ranked sixth globally, in terms of the ratio of assets it manages to the value of its brand – significantly exceeding the global average.

The Public Investment Fund ranked second among sovereign funds in the “Brand Strength” criterion, obtaining 62.1 points with an A+ rating. Brand evaluation helps companies understand the value of their brands and how they contribute to the overall value of the company, which contributes to supporting the decision-making process about marketing and branding strategies, and provides a standard for future performance.

Brand strength measures the effectiveness of a brand’s performance, its impact on stakeholders, and financial results in direct and indirect ways, such as attracting investors and securing financing, attracting and retaining talent, or obtaining positive coverage from the media.

Those included in the study expressed a positive view of the Public Investment Fund in its ability to attract the best international talent and its possession of an innovative investment strategy. Study participants confirmed that the Public Investment Fund is trustworthy and acts as a catalyst to promote growth and development. The Public Investment Fund’s brand strength rating represents confirmation and testimony to the quality of its business system, standards and directions.

This study, conducted by Brand Finance, is the first of its kind to focus on both sovereign wealth funds and measuring the brand values ​​of sovereign wealth funds.

US asset managers ranked in the top three for the strongest and most valuable asset management brands, along with BlackRock, JP Morgan Asset Management, and Vanguard.

The survey showed that the Public Investment Fund’s brand has great appeal and strength among young people. The study includes measuring awareness, knowledge, support, individuals’ opinions, performance level, efficiency and the goals being worked to achieve.
