European stocks extend decline after a 9-day winning streak

European indices fell at the beginning of today’s trading after stocks ended a series of gains that continued over 9 consecutive sessions at the end of Thursday’s trading, while monitoring the results of the companies’ operations.

In terms of trading, the STOXX600 index fell by about 0.2% to 522 points. While the German DAX fell by 0.3% to 18,684 points, according to Reuters.

The British FTSE fell by less than 0.1% to 8,433 points, and the French CAC fell by 0.1% to 8,177 points.

The Dow Jones Index exceeded 40,000 points for the first time ever yesterday, Thursday.

Markets are awaiting the release of the final reading of inflation data in the euro zone for April later today.
