Saudi stock market value hit SR 10.93 trillion at the end of Q1

Saudi Tadawul revealed that the market value of issued shares at the end of the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 10.93 trillion riyals, equivalent to ($2.91 trillion), recording an increase of 9.56% compared to the first quarter of the previous year.

It was stated in the statistical report for the first quarter of 2024 today, Monday, that at the end of the first quarter of 2024, the main market index (TASI) closed at the level of 12,401.56 points, an increase of 1,811.46 points, or 17.11%, compared to the close of the first quarter of the previous year. The highest closing point for the index during the period was on 03/21/2024 AD at the level of 12,835.65 points.

The total value of shares traded during the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 575.89 billion riyals, equivalent to (153.57 billion US dollars), an increase of 113.52% compared to the first quarter of the previous year.

The total number of shares traded* during the first quarter of 2024 was 24.12 billion shares, compared to 22.74 billion shares traded during the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 6.05%.

As for the total number of transactions executed during the first quarter of 2024, it reached 35.02 million transactions, compared to 20.12 million transactions executed during the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 74.04%.
