Today, Sunday, the first shipments of Jazan mangoes to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan were launched, with the export of the first refrigerator weighing 24 tons, with support from the Emirate of the Jazan region and the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the region, in partnership with the Jazan Energy and Development Company “Jazadco”, and through the Vision Cooperative Society for Agricultural Marketing, According to the agreement concluded with the Jordanian side several months ago, which stipulates the export of a number of agricultural products from the Jazan region, including mango, papaya, and watermelon.
Today, the Vision Association began exporting the first container of mangoes, while it aims to gradually export more than 30 containers, at a rate of 24 tons per container.
The association had signed a number of contracts internally and externally to market 4,000 tons of Jazan mangoes with the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture and a number of major sales outlets in the Kingdom.
For its part, the association, in partnership with Jazadco Company, was interested in the operations of cleaning, sterilizing and packaging the agricultural product (mango) according to international standards through its service center in the region, where the service center works to sterilize, fumigate and clean the Jazan mango, so that the mango is exported with high quality and distinctive specifications that keep pace with the movement. The large agricultural sector witnessed by the Kingdom.
This comes within the efforts of the Vision Association to support local farmers by obtaining a fair price and exporting their products to major markets in the Kingdom and to a number of neighboring countries.
