British economy back to growth at the beginning of 2024

Official data showed that British economy returned to growth at the beginning of 2024, after the economy entered a state of recession resulting from the mixed performance of its sectors in the second half of 2023.

Britain GDP grew 0.2% in January on a monthly basis, supported by the recovery of the retail trade and home construction sectors, after a decline of 0.1% in December.

British Gross domestic product declined 0.3% in the last quarter of 2023, and by 0.1% in the previous quarter.
