$100 million puts Oppenheimer’s film on the cusp of history

The film “Oppenheimer” won the Academy Awards this year, seven awards out of the 13 awards it was nominated for at the Oscars, but it did not break the previous records that go back to “Titanic” or “The Lord of the Rings.” On a historic night for the workers.

The film stars Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer and Robert Downey Jr. as Strauss, in addition to a cast that includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, and Kenneth Branagh.

The film’s budget was $100 million, and its worldwide revenues amounted to more than $900 million.
