Market sources cited data from the American Petroleum Institute on Wednesday that crude oil and gasoline inventories in the United States rose last week, while distillate inventories decreased.
According to Reuters, the sources, who requested anonymity, said that crude stocks rose by 7.17 million barrels in the week ending February 16, and gasoline stocks increased by 415,000 barrels.
Distillate stocks fell by 2.91 million barrels.
