IATA Chairman: Aviation supply chain problems will last for a few more years

Willie Walsh, head of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), said on Monday that the supply chain problems that pose a challenge to the global aviation sector are likely to continue for a few more years.

According to Reuters, in a speech he delivered at the Changi Aviation Summit on the eve of the Singapore Air Show, Walsh said that the global aviation sector is expected to grow by 3.3 percent annually over the next 20 years, and the Asia-Pacific region is likely to lead this growth by 4.5 percent. annually during that period.

He added that the aviation sector needs to see greater production of sustainable aviation fuel, and governments must provide incentives to achieve this.
