‎“Google”, “Microsoft” and “Amazon” widen their presence in ‎Saudi Arabia with regional headquarters

Data reported that American companies Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are among the companies working to strengthen their presence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in response to the decision not to award government contracts to companies that do not have headquarters in the Kingdom. A government database shows that all three American companies obtained licenses to establish a regional headquarters in Riyadh.

The Ministry of Investment had announced the issuance of 180 licenses to international companies to move their regional headquarters to Riyadh, thus exceeding the state’s targets that it set in this direction of reaching 160 regional headquarters for international companies by the end of the year 2023 AD.

The Saudi program to attract the regional headquarters of international companies is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Investment and the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh. The program aims to attract international companies to establish their regional headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and make the Kingdom the first choice for these companies in the Middle East and North Africa region, by providing them with a set of benefits and distinguished support services.
