The Ministry of Commerce published the business sector bulletin for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2023, which outlines the most significant developments in the sector and the growth of commercial records and promising sectors.
The ministry reported that more than 95,000 commercial records were issued during the last three months of 2023, signaling an increase of %23 over the same period of 2022, with the total existing commercial records amounting to over 1,397,000 by the end of the year. The youth category of both genders accounted for %38.6 of the total number of the commercial records issued during the quarter, with the percentage of women reaching 38% of the total existing commercial records for institutions.
The periodical bulletin also shed light on e-commercial records, which grew by %34 by the end of the fourth quarter.
The bulletin showcased the most prominent economic activities in the promising sectors of technology, entertainment, transportation, tourism, and others, and highlighted the growth in the relevant activities, including cloud-computing services, publishing software, resorts, land transportation of goods, marine clubs, and manufacturing of medical tools and equipment.
