Mark Zuckerberg sells shares of his Meta stake worth $400 ‎million in two months

Mark Zuckerberg, owner of Meta, sold shares in the company for more than $400 million in the last two months of 2023, after a two-year hiatus amid a decline in the share price.

According to a regulatory disclosure issued yesterday, the total number of shares sold by Zuckerberg reached 1.28 million, for approximately $428 million.

The average daily sale reached $10.4 million, while the largest sale was on December 28, at $17.1 million.

Zuckerberg has not sold any shares in the company that owns Facebook since November 2021, while Meta shares rose by 184% last year from the lowest level in 7 years recorded at the end of 2022.

Zuckerberg owns a 13% stake in Meta, and his wealth amounts to $125 billion, ranking seventh on the list of world billionaires.
