Japanese football team leads the market value of Asian Cup ‎teams with 38% share… Saudi team 2.7%‎

The market value of the teams in the eighteenth edition of the 2023 Asian Football Cup reached approximately 840 million euros, with the Japanese national team topping the list of participating teams with the highest market value. 24 teams will participate in the tournament hosted by Qatar from January 12 to February 10.

According to the “Transfer Market” website, which specializes in the market values of players and teams, the Japanese national team topped the list of continent’s national teams with a market value of approximately 317 million euros (this value represents approximately 38% of the total market value of the participating teams). The South Korean national team came in second with a value of 193 million euros, the Iranian national team came in third place with 51.58 million euros, and the Australian national team came in fourth place with 40.9 million euros.

The market value of the Saudi team – the three-time defending champion – reached 23.3 million euros (representing 2.7 of the market value of all the teams participating in the tournament), ranking second among the participating Arab teams, topped by the UAE, with a value of 31.55 million euros. At the level of Arab teams in the tournament, the Syrian team ranked third with a value of 16.53 million euros, the Qatari team fourth with 15.90 million euros, the Jordanian team fifth with 13.18 million euros, the Iraqi team sixth with 11.78 million euros, and the Bahraini team seventh with 9.68 million euros, and the Omani is eighth with 7.50 million euros, the Lebanese is ninth with 7.43 million euros, and the Palestinian is tenth with 6.50 million euros.
