Incident at Saudi Chemical Subsidiary Factory Results in SAR 10 Million in Damages

Saudi Chemical Company Holding released a statement on Wednesday reporting an unfortunate incident that transpired in one of its subsidiary’s factories. The accident took place on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 2:30 a.m., specifically in a reactor within the production line located in Atshanah.

Tragically, two individuals lost their lives in the incident, and our thoughts are with their families. Additionally, four others sustained injuries, and we extend our wishes for their swift recovery.

Preliminary evaluations of the damages resulting from the accident indicate a projected financial impact primarily associated with repair costs, estimated at approximately SAR 10 million.

The company has promptly notified the relevant authorities, and investigations are currently underway. “Our dedicated teams are working diligently to complete the necessary repairs and restore the affected production line to full operational capacity.”a
