Energy Ministry and NEOM Sign MOU to Enhance Cooperation in Energy

The Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) today in Riyadh with the CEO of NEOM, Engineer Nadhmi Al-Nasr, to strengthen cooperation in the energy field.

The MOU outlines the collaboration between the two sides to develop modern technologies in the energy sector, following applicable laws and regulations. It also includes periodic monitoring and evaluation of achievements and areas of improvement, as well as providing technical and organizational solutions in areas such as renewable energy technologies, hydrogen, sustainability, and innovation.

Moreover, the MOU aims to coordinate and integrate the two sides with various energy system entities, including the Water and Electricity Regulatory Authority, the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission, the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center, the Executive Committee for the Governance of Energy and Water Prices Reform, and the National Committee for the Clean Development Mechanism.
