Britain invests £300 million in clean nuclear energy‎

UK government announced on Sunday an investment of £300 million to produce advanced low-enriched nuclear fuel, making it the first European country to develop this key technology.

The British government explained in a statement that this investment is a strategic part of the United Kingdom’s goal to generate up to 24 gigawatts of clean nuclear energy by 2050, which would meet a quarter of its electricity needs, enhancing its energy independence.
