During a session titled “The Real Estate Sector in the Gulf Region: A Promising Future for Transformation” at the Real Estate Future Forum, Bahraini Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi stressed the importance of exchanging experiences between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in all fields of development.
She emphasized that Bahrain is facing challenges due to its rapidly increasing population, and thus it is crucial to focus on the development of Bahraini citizens.
Al-Rumaihi explained that since the 1960s, the housing sector in Bahrain has witnessed rapid development and has become one of the first sectors to establish specific requirements for organization and reconstruction, as well as an outline for the mechanism of developing and preserving urban identity.
The Bahraini minister also addressed the balance between preserving Bahraini culture and identity and the aspirations of investors in the private sector.
She noted the importance of partnering with the private sector to meet the aspirations of citizens in the shortest possible time while also ensuring that companies comply with the state’s standards and requirements to preserve the national identity.
