‎“Evergreen” and “Rich Petroleum” suspend crossing their ships ‎in the Red Sea

Evergreen Line issued instructions to its container ships to suspend navigation through the Red Sea until further notice, after the attacks on some ships.

The British oil giant British Petroleum also announced the suspension of the transit of all its ships in the Red Sea, similar to many of the largest maritime transport companies in the world.

The company said in a statement, “Due to the deteriorating security situation for maritime transport in the Red Sea, BP has decided to temporarily suspend all transit operations from the Red Sea.”

The Norwegian company Inventor Chemical Tankers, which owns the chemical tanker Swan Atlantic, said that a tanker was hit by an unspecified object during an attack in the Red Sea on Monday.
