Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Thursday, supported by gains in Alphabet stock, as investors looked to the monthly jobs data report for clues about the Federal Reserve’s policy actions.
According to Reuters, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 69.74 points, or 0.19%, to 36,124.17 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened up 19.50 points, or 0.43%, to 4,568.84 points, and the Nasdaq Composite index increased 83.72 points, or 0.59%, to 14,230.44 points.
