Saudi Accreditation Center Holds Workshop on Role of Accreditation in Infrastructure Development

Saudi Accreditation Center held yesterday a workshop titled “The Role of Accreditation in Developing the Infrastructure for Conformity Assessment Activity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.

The workshop was part of the 11th round of activities of the Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC), which is hosted by the Kingdom. The objective of the workshop was to help improve the quality of products and services.

Several topics were addressed at the workshop, including the Kingdom’s pioneering role in this field, the benefits of the ARAC Multilateral Recognition Agreement and its contribution to facilitating trade and improving the level of quality.

Representatives of the Jordanian Accreditation System, Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, and Saudi Food and Drug Authority also took part, to present their views on the impact of accreditation and its importance in improving infrastructure.
