There were no major changes in US stock indices in a short trading session today, Friday, on the occasion of Thanksgiving, while investors are focusing on retail trading companies with the start of Black Friday sales amid signs of a slowdown in economic conditions.
According to Reuters, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 26.87 points, or 0.08%, to 35,299.90 points, and the Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened down 0.78 points, or 0.02%, to 4,555.84 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 27.82 points, or 0.20% to 14238.04 points.
