Under Patronage of HRH Crown Prince, Jazan Governor ‎Inaugurates Jazan Investment Forum 2023‎

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, Governor of Jazan region Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz inaugurated today Jazan Investment Forum 2023 activities at Grand Millennium Jazan Hotel.

Prince Mohammed and the forum’s guests toured the accompanying exhibition viewing the forum’s participation of various ministries, institutions, bodies, specialized centers and companies.

Jazan forum is organized by Jazan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Jazan Development Strategic Office and other relevant government and private agencies.

During the forum, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser emphasized its alignment with the wise leadership’s commitment to advancing and developing regional projects. These efforts are bolstered by significant investment initiatives and incentives, notably the establishment of the Jazan Development Strategic Office and the Special Economic Zone as a hub for competitive economic growth.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jazan Chamber of Commerce Ahmed Abu Hadi outlined the forum’s objectives, focusing on introducing investment opportunities in the Jazan region. Specialized dialogue sessions within accompanying workshops aimed to generate implementable recommendations.

Secretary-General of the Jazan Chamber of Commerce Dr. Majed Al-Gohary announced the launch of several initiatives, including a fund for investment in food security projects, the Jazan Products Platform, a 100-bed hospital project, and the Jazan Exhibition and Conference Center project.

Numerous agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed during the forum between the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and various Saudi companies. These agreements aimed at establishing the Saudi Global Industrial Village, production factories for float glass and photovoltaic glass, a sanitary ware production factory, and facilities for caustic soda and hydraulic acid production. Additionally, agreements were made to develop the waterfront and city center, as well as to enhance the tourism sector.

The Ministry of Investment inked a memorandum of understanding on investment with various governmental and private agencies. The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) also signed agreements with the Saudi Coffee Company and other entities to establish a coffee beans processing factory and a food processing facility.

Deputy Governor of Jazan Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz attended the forum.
