STA Announces New Strategic Partnership to Sponsor Various Global Travel Market Events

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is the fastest-growing tourist destination globally, has announced a new strategic partnership with RX Global. RX Global is the organizer of the World Travel Market (WTM). As part of the two-year agreement (2023-2025), the Kingdom has become the first official sponsor of the exhibition’s various activities. This partnership includes the World Travel Market in London, Africa, and Southern America, and is an addition to the Arab Travel Market.

This announcement was the highlight of the recent WTM exhibition in London, where the Kingdom showcased its strong presence with the active participation of the Saudi Tourism Authority. More than 75 partners from the Saudi tourism sector took part, marking a significant 48% increase compared to previous participation. The Kingdom engaged in fruitful dialogue sessions to showcase its successive achievements, vast opportunities, rapid growth, scale of development, and its ambitious transformation on a global scale.

On this occasion, the CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), Fahd Hamidaddin, said, “Saudi Arabia is one of the most important pioneers of the industry and the fastest growing. It has exceeded all expectations and has set the pace of work and development at the world level. Our remarkable and continuous presence in this global forum continues as part of our endeavor to achieve our ambitious goals by 2030.”

As part of this fruitful partnership, he added that the focus was on shedding light on the development of the Saudi tourism sector and attracting more segments and visitors. The initiative aimed to increase market share through a series of attractive promotional activities during the ongoing sponsorship of WTM exhibition events, facilitating communication with current and new partners from around the world.

This new partnership encompassed launching various promotional activities throughout the international exhibition, including delivering a keynote speech, hosting engaging dialogue sessions, and strengthening the official identity of Saudi tourism through interactive platforms and digital screens. These platforms aimed to showcase the captivating and inspiring tourism experiences in Saudi Arabia.

Participation in international forums and exhibitions is one of the essential strategies for Saudi tourism. Since the Kingdom opened its doors to receive international travelers in 2019, a record number of agreements and partnerships have been signed with international partners. These highlight Saudi Arabia’s commitment to work on the development and prosperity of the global tourism sector.
