Saudi-Brazilian Round Table Meeting Discusses Investment ‎Opportunities and Improving Investment Relations

The Saudi-Brazilian Round Table meeting was held today in Riyadh in the presence of President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Chairman of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) Jorge Viana, and President of the Federal Senate of Brazil Rodrigo Pacheco, with the participation of several government officials and private sector representatives from both countries.

The meeting discussed investment opportunities, improving investment relations between the two countries, enhancing efforts to develop economic and investment ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Brazil, developing quality investments for entrepreneurial companies, and enabling the private sector to benefit from investment opportunities in both countries.

It also discussed aspects of investment partnership in the fields of energy, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, food industry, financial services, petrochemicals, logistics services, and real estate, ways to enhance them, and opportunities to increase investments by Saudi and Brazilian companies in both countries.

The importance of taking advantage of available opportunities in areas of common interest and contributing to providing support and benefits to investors to develop investments between the two countries was also stressed.
