PIF in talks to invest in Chinese electric car manufacturer ‎Human Horizon

Informed sources revealed that the Public Investment Fund is in talks to invest $250 million in the Chinese electric car manufacturer Human Horizon.

The sources, who declined to reveal their identity according to the Business Times website, said that the Public Investment Fund could buy into the Shanghai-based company at a valuation of $3 billion. Pointing out that an agreement may be reached as soon as this year, the talks may also take longer as the deal is still in the final stages. No final decisions have been made yet

It is worth noting that Human Horizon is a Chinese company based in Shanghai that manufactures electric cars under the HiPhi brand and develops autonomous driving technology. It operates its own smart production and assembly factory in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, and another factory in Jinqiao, Shanghai.
