Japanese yen down against major currencies

Japanese currency, the yen, fell against the major currencies in the Asian trading session on Monday

The yen fell to its lowest level in 15 years against the euro, recording 162.08 yen per euro, compared to 161.82 euros on Friday at the end of last week’s trading.

It also recorded its lowest level in about two weeks against the US currency, recording 151.70 yen per dollar, compared to 151.50 yen on Friday.

The yen fell against the British pound to its lowest level in 4 days, recording 185.55 yen, compared to 185.16 yen on Friday.

Against the Swiss franc, the yen fell to 168.11 yen, compared to 167.76 yen last Friday.

It also declined against the New Zealand dollar from 89.28 to 89.39 yen, and against the Canadian dollar from 109.76 yen to 109.83 yen during the same period.
